You Are the Sunshine of My Life / Valentine is a double 7-inch single by Chokebore, released in the USA in August 1999 by Punk iN My Vitamins as a teaser for the US release of Chokebore's fourth album Black Black.

You Are the Sunshine of My Life / Valentine contains two B-sides:

• Speed of Sound (semi-acoustic version), recorded by B. C. Caldwell at Troy's home (credited as "Chokeboresound"), previously released on the Taty du Post Rock compilation;
• Days of Nothing (full band winter version), recorded by Biff Sanders at Motiv Studios in Los Angeles, CA, previously released on the Days of Nothing single.

The artwork for You Are the Sunshine of My Life / Valentine was designed by Sonja Ahlers, with street photography by Jonathan Kroll.
